  1. cheap way to put video on pan e50 dvdr??
    i have a panny E50 nned to convert a stack of vids i have.
    at the moment i connect the video to the dvd recorder,
    i get a picture but when i try to record i get an error message.

    i know i will require a third party device to connect but i dont want to spend a lot, can anyone advise ?

    The term "video" does not identify what the device is. Video applies to video, whether it's on VHS, DV camcorder, a mini-movie from a digicam, DVD, VCD, SVCD, Divx, etc. Regardless of the TV commercials that say "Order it now on Video or on DVD" They're misusing the term, so refer to it as a VCR if that's what it is, and I think that's what you mean. Not your fault, but that's a pet peeve of mine ...much like the DVD writer vendors and media vendors who started advertising that their single-layer media capacity is 4.7GB when it's not and never has been

    You need something to remove macrovision between the source and the E50 inputs.

    Use a timebase corrector, or another cheaper device like a "clarifier" or "stabilizer". Warning: Only a TBC will guarantee that you won't degrade the source. The other devices are merely filters and they filter some of the video out and introduce artifacts. Some render the video almost unwatchable.
