Hi all,
I'm quite new into dvd ripping, and I have a question about fairuse (0.43c). In the last screen, where you can select the resolution, there's a checkbox called "tv-mode". If you press this, the resolutions seems to chance. But what is actually the function of this?
Does it mean that it adjust the resolution to a aspect ratio of a tv or so?
I want to ask that because i have just bought a dvd-player with divx capabilities (techwood 5020s, from the supermarket :P ).
Would it be better for me to check this checbox or not? And what's the preferable resolution (the guide says 640*xxx).

I have always left everything on default. In fact I don't even rememer seeing the checkbox you talked about. You can always use RW and just try each way. Too bad it takes forever to encode.

Get some CDrw try a small section with tv mode on and same with tv mode off.. see which you prefer.
it is for correcting aspect ratio distortion introduced by some players (ESS chipset) on divx/xvid playback. examine the height of the video playback. compare to original video.
tv mode works well.Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.
