  1. Hi,

Is there any guide to include all parts of "The Godfather II" in a one single DvD?

Is there any idea to make it was possible?

    Thanks in advance!
    Mark.

If you want to combine them into one seamless movie, I think you will be out of luck. You can have both parts on one DVD, and play them indivually.

Some transcoder programs will allow you to join a movie split across two DVDs onto one disc. DVD2one allows this, and DVDShrink might also (I don't use the latter program, so I couldn't tell you for certain).

Given the somewhat iffy quality of the original discs, you really wouldn't want to, anyway. Director Francis Ford Coppola was shown a professional master of what the film would look like if all 200 minutes of the film were included on the one disc. His impression of the material led him to insist that the film be split over two discs. Lawrence Of Arabia was split over two discs for much the same reason.

Yes ... a rather simple but somewhat time-consuming way (and one that most people here will cringe at, hehe). But, you'll need a lot of hard disk space and this method will only preserve the movie, not the extras and menus. I've tried it and it works for me. Here's the scenario.

    1) Use DVDdecrypter to rip each side into a separate directory.

    2) Use DVDshrink to "re-author" the main movie files in each directory into new separate directories.

    3) Download and install VOBmerge 2.5 (free).

    4) One by one, starting with the side-one directory created by DVDshrink, sequentially add all the movie's VOB files to VOBmerge's merge-list. Merge them into one huge VOB file.

    5) Use VOBedit to demux the audio (AC3) and video (m2v) parts.

    6) Use DVDauthorGUI to reauthor the AC3/M2V files into a new directory.

    7) Use DVDshrink to shrink to whole enchilada to fit on one DVD.

P.S. But, it won't be pretty. Read what Nilfennasion said in his last post.

I have done this with Shrink in reauthor mode with no problem, no problems playing on my 36 inch Panisonic TV, of course its movie only

  7. Thanks to all!

    @AlecWest

I forgotten this: I wish to re-author part 1 (dvd9) and part 2 (dvd5) to into a DvD+DL (RiDisc RW very good :-)) with all menus. This is the primary problem!
After resolved this problem, with DvDClone "cut", automtically, this "fusion" in one DvD+DL.

Is this possible? May you to repeat, in this case, your any impression?

    Thanks again!

P.S. - Excuse me for my bad english!
