  1. Walmart just reduced there Maxell DVD-R 15pk cake to $18.83. Price was $26.88.
These are the yellow top branded Maxells.

    Made in JAPAN
    Man ID: MXL-RG02
    Man: Hitachi Maxell LTD
    Speed: 1, 2, 4X

There were dozens of packs and all just in. They still have the 10pk yellow top Maxell w/ cd case for 16.88. They are TY G01. Little pricy.
The 15 packs at $18.83 are a little pricy still - but the price reduction helps and the quality is very good.
Hopefully the Maxell 50pk fiasco (made in Taiwan) was a one time deal. Wishful thinking...

Anyway, for Maxell MXL-RG02 lovers stock up. I am.
    Have a good one...NL

(edit) I just caught this post...

It mentions the Walmart reduction was a week or so ago. My Walmart is not a Super Store and the modular tag still reads $26.88. Actual sale was to start tomorrow Sept 1st but I did a scan on one of their scanners and it came up $18.83. I figure they did it today in preperation for the sale starting tomorrow.
These non-superstore Walmarts are always the last to reduce prices and sometimes never do. Just wanted to nod to "QuailBoy" for the info.(end edit)

I'm still waiting for MXL RG03. As of now the only way to get them is by buying those overpriced Apple brand 8x -Rs.

I ordered 4 cakes as well right after this post, thanks for pointing out this good deal. Good price, but still waiting on the shipment. Buy.com is a bit slow to ship, but I like these Japanese discs.

They are back to the regular price now, not a good deal at all.

I've recently ordered 25pk from buy.com - they are taiwaneese RITEK G04. I've also seen 50pk in Office Depot and they are also Riteks. Be carefull buying -R Maxells! Be sure you're getting 'Made in Japan' - it could be either MXL RG02 or TYG01, both an excellent media.
