    I want to buy a DVD player that supports everything, I had my eye on a Panasonic, but wouldn't play SVCD, XVCD. Is there a player that is compitable with everything, or almost everything? I prefer not to get an APEX, cause who the hell makes APEX anyway... so names like pioneer, panasonic, sony (although too expensive) are what I'm looking for.

    Price should be around $250-330 Canadian (approx. $180 USD)

    OK, I looked at the player list here, and it looks like the PIONEER DV444 is what I need. Can any Canadians recommend a place to buy this thing cheap? Futureshop is a ripoff right?

    Try 2001 audio video, they have it for $399, and alot of stores in downtown Toronto, may have em for a lot cheaper, just look around.
