    Hi all,

I have been using Vegas to edit PAL interlaced DV content and export it
to the same format (with bottom field first interlacing)

I then use Tmpgenc to make PAL DVD compliant video (same interlace settings as above)

Then I used DVD lab to author dvd.

The resulting DVD shows interlace artefacts (combing in fast pan scenes) when played on PC.
No such problems playing the source dv avi or the dv avi output by vegas.

    Any solutions??

    Thanks,
    Keith

    Hi keithsebastian,

This is perfectly normal on a PC monitor and is a regular occurrence for many people.

Play it on your TV and it will / should be fine.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

    Hi daamon,

Thanks for the info. That's exactly what I'd suspected. Guess I'll go ahead and burn the DVD's.
