  1. hello there...

im new on this forum and a newbie when it comes to dvd ripping n stuff...anyhow, i got a professor that got 50 DVDs that she has made for classroom purposes, now, she want to rip or save a certain portion of a dvd (1 or 2 minutes portion of it ) and save it to an mpg or avi file, so she can streamed it to the internet so her students would be able to see them anywhere they go. my question is, how do i this? this dvd's are not commercially made, just educational work she has made and they are just ordinary dvds like commercial dvds out there.

    any ideas? thanks...a lot

    Hello,

You could use dvd decrypter. Then use dvdx, or just about any converter found in the tools section to the left to make a mpg/avi file (virtualdubmpeg2 can make a divx out of the vob).

convert and cut directly to avi,mpg using dvdx, fairuse0.9.3, virtualdub-mpeg2 or the easiest tool dr.divx.
