    Since I cannot get clear, definitive answers from e-mailing Hauppauge, maybe some of you folks who use the device can help me.

    1- I have a new HP a450n desktop with integrated sound (not a separate sound card). Will the Hauppauge 250 or 350 card work withOUT me addind a sound card?

    2- Is there adjustment for sharpness using the analog input and/or the tuner input?

    I have the 250 and it does the sound itself. There is a color adustment for tv and video input.

    Hauppauge's WinTV application has controls for brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation.

    There are 3rd party programs that let you control noise filtering and sharpness. You'll find this site useful:
