  1. I tried following your guide for DVD Maestro. I liked the idea that you could have the 2 backgrounds (one for each movie, from paint shop pro). I made my background and exported the 2 movies into DVD Maestro asset bin. I then dragged the appropriate movie asset to movie track and then the audio.
My problem is when I went to drag the 2nd movie, It gave me an error saying it was not PAL/NTSC compliant with the rest of the project. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is there a way I can tell from the bin/cue file or the resulting MPEG from SVCD2DVDMPEG weather it is PAL or NTSC? and can these be changed from one to the other?
    Thanks,
    Suck it up princess !!!

I believe this is due to the fact that you cant have a mix of pal and ntsc on the same dvd, they all have to be the same.

As for telling what it is before if you use tmpeg and open mpeg tools and go to demultiplex and select the mpeg it will tell you the fps (Pal =25 23.99 and 29 are ntsc).

You could also rencode the mpeg with this to the desired format simply using its wizzard which is very straight forward. You might loose a little quality (very minimal), and there may be a very very slight jerkiness to the output (inevitable from framerate conversions).

Mpeg vcr is also good for this sort of conversion and is faster but with slighty worse quality results (still looks fine on the tv tho)
See this topic for a semi guide https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=228458 on the final bit select vide before save and select your new fps from the dropdown box. For ntsc i believe you want 24 and 25 for pal.

    Hope all that helps mate
