  1. Hi

I really hope somebody can help me here, I use these forums all the time but I have not yet come across a topic that deals with the error I am encounting.

Basically when I playback my DVD that I have authored every 5 mins or so the video speeds up and leaves the audio behind, then the sound gets jumpy and the vid freezes until the audio catches up again (lasts about 30secs). I have tried all sorts and not found a cure to this.

It only happens with 24fps files that I have re-encoded to 29fps.

The really strange thing is that I never used to have problems like this and using the same source that I used 1 month ago (that turned out fine) this time the video skips. I have even formatted my computer and started from scratch and used different DVD players to playback wih no luck.

I have tried re-encoding the video and all sorts, even using 3 different videos but still no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas or has come across this before? It odoes not happen when I make 25fps videos.

    Thanks

What was the original source and what are you using to encode?

  5. The original source was .avi - Xvid framerate of 23.97 fps with ac3 audio.

i used TMPGEnc to convert the file using 3:2 pulldown. I am using Ulead DVD Worshop 2 to author it. i have also tried Moviefactory 2 and it does exactly the same thing.

    Thanks
