I have certain .dat (I assume these are MPEG-1, right?)video files on VCDs that freeze my computer when i try to copy them and/or freeze my computer when i play them. Can this be fixed?
Also, I see folders named "VCD", "SEGMENT", etc. in VCDs along with the actual video files. The folders appear empty; is anything but the actual video files required for DVD player and/or computer playback of the videos?
Thanks, Ron![]()

The best way is to use IsoBuster to extract the mpg from your .dat file..
