This question doesn't particularly relates to just DVD.
I had two small captured files (YVU9) that I joined with VirtualDub and saved as Huffyuv format. That is now one AVI file.
So I encoded this with Tmpgenc and BBmpeg using DVD template and funny thing is when the scene changes to that other former AVI file I am getting a very strange effect that is present on following:
2 Personal DVD players
Power DVD
Intervideo DVD though plays it fine.
The effect looks like certain fields repeat each other. There is no stuttering but the video looks like if you were to use that old temporal softener effect in VirutalDub 1.3. (each frame sort of repeats itself while next one is also played - then as the scene changes it goes to normal).
To me there is a problem with encoding probably. Has anyone experienced this?
(I haven't tried to encode video as deinterlaced - both tmpgenc and bbmpeg have encoded it as interlaced video)
thanks for any thoughts.
