Good Afternoon All!!
I have a slight problem with my Aver DVD EZ Maker PCI card...
It does a pretty good job except that there is a squiggly line at the top of the screen when I'm captruing VHS that resembles the kind of thing you'd get if you were messing with the tracking on a VHS tape.
I'm using the neoDVDstandard 4.0 software that came with it and even when I try doing it on Windows Movie Maker I get that same tracking line (for lack of a better term) on top of the capture screen which also shows up on the finished product.
I've tried switching RCA cables but I get the same results.
I have a Dell P4 with a 1.2Ghz processor and 256mb of ram.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated![]()

Nothing wrong with the capture card IMO what you are seeing is called "Macrovision" copy protection. You will need a device to remove it like this one for example.

Can you post a screen cap of what you are talking about? It always helps to actually see what someone is trying to describe...you know, a picture paints a thousand words.
Have you tried using VirtualVCR to capture with? I have the same card as you and VirtualVCR works very well with it in my set-up. Of course, YMMV.
