I have an SD3750 (I think its similar to the 2710 but with some extra features), and XVCD looks fantastic, but...
I usually encode at 1550 kbps, because it fits most movies on two CDs (basically no cost, since 1150kbps usually takes 2 CDs). I encode with TMPGEnc, and burn with Nero 5.5.
Fast forwarding is a mess. After I fast-forward, when I hit play it goes into this strange mode where it is playing at double-speed with no audio. About once every 30 tries, it will actually play normally.
Now, I played the sample XVCD (2500kbps) and it FF'd fine (as far as I could tell, its a very short sample).
Is it something with the way I encoded it (key frames or something)? It would be nice if the samples would explain the encoding method used.
Thx,
BB
