The meat of my question being: Does it use the LSI chipset?
If not, are there any NTSC capture cards that use the LSI chipset?
Thanks!

Yes it an LSI DVxplore chipset which really it C-Cube DVxplore base chipset but there no 3rdparty support unless you use MCE.

The LSI DoMiNo architecture is rumored to be in the new Creative USB device. I am not sure if this is the same or similar to the DVD recorder LSI chipset (DMN-8200 series). I know it's not "the same" but it may be similar. There are also some MCE cards.
