    Hi all
I just bought sony dsc-w1 digital camera. I need to buy a memory stick pro for it. The problem is that I don't know which one to get. I want to get a 256mb stick but it seems like there is a wide price range. Which one is good? I don't want to get a slow one by mistake.

I would only ever get the branded Sony ones. I had a SanDisk or something regular Memory Stick for my camcorder and the damn camcorder wouldn't write to it. Got it replaced and did the same thing. I returned it and got a Sony one and it worked just fine. I haven't bought a non-Sony Memory Stick Pro, but I don't think I ever will either.

Basically by buying anything cheaper you're taking a risk. Also Sony is bad about not allowing your warranty to cover issues with non-branded items. As long as you "keep it in the family" you can tell them to stuff it when it comes to warranty claims.

Thanks rallynavvie. I just ordered SanDisk 256MB Memory Stick Pro for $51. Can't wait to get my camera and memory to start taking pics.
