  1. Hi,

I've just ripped my first DVD (Shrek)after following Sefy's newbie guide and am mostly pleased with the results, but have found that there are no chapters and that the video cannot be forwarded or rewound once playback has started - if I *do* press any of these options the video just returns to the start of the disc.

I take it this isn't normal, so am I missing something?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

  2. i've not read the guide, but what you're experiencing sounds normal. there may or may not be fixes for your specific dvdplayer....i still have yet to find a completely satisfactory solution for my sampo dve-620

  3. For SVCD you need to use VCDimager and burn with CDRwin or others not NERO in order to get FF/RW to work. For Chapter you need to author xml code to get chapters in your SVCD (look for TSCV the GUI of VCDimager).
Read all the guide and get all the software under tool and how to section?

  4. If you followed the Classic Guide which only has Smart Ripper / DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc, then you basicly just got the MPG file, to get Chapters, use the All-In-One guide, and go to the Chapters and select which program you want to use to create those chapters (VCDEasy / TSCV).
