    Hello

I am after a simple, free program to make dvd copies of my home videos.
    Here's what I do.
I've got a dvd recorder which has the dv input. I transfer my home videos from my dv camera direct to my dvd recorder and trnsfer to dvd.
I would like to make copies of that burned dvd. I know I can make copy of that dvd by using another dvd player hooked up to the dvd recorder.
I too have a dvd burner on my pc. I read about dvdshrink and it seems like what I need. Simple and straight forward. I do not intend to copy and retail dvd (movies etc) just my home made videos and I do not intend to do any authoring. There are so many software out there it's mind boggling.
Will dvdshrink be simple enough for my simple needs?
    Thanks

Generally just copying a non-commercial DVD can be done with most any burner program. The 'Tools' section to the left has a few free ones that may suit your needs. https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=16#16

You should probably mention the make and model of your DVD recorder in case someone here knows of any problems with copying the video fliles made by that machine.

I use Nero for that all the time. Just go to the DVD menu and select DVD copy.
