I've done my share of vhs/ld to dvd transfers. Id like to make a "sampler" dvd of my work. I'd use my master dvd files (dvd vob files I keep on a HD for back up) but some of my transfers have AC-3 2channel audio, some have LPCM, and one or two have MPEG audio. My question is what would be the best way to combine video clips from many dvd's to one with different audio and video resolutions? I have dvd-lab pro, tmpgenc xpress, and a few other dvd tools at my disposal.

With tmpgenc dvd author you can have various resolutions and types of audio as long as they are dvd compliant and either ntsc or pal, just put each different clip in its own track.

Now for my next question. Do any of the dvd rippers allow you to extract one chapter from vob files on the HD?

    Hello,

    Dvd decrypter will.

    Kevin

EDIT - You may want to try dvdshrink. I don' know for sure if dvd decrypter will read straight of the harddrive.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
