Are any of you using jasc Paint Shop Pro to create DVD menu graphics? It seems like it should work because it can create layers and save files in PSD format. Perhaps not quite as powerful as Adobe Photoshop, but much cheaper. I'm looking to get started in DVD authoring and already have PSP (a slightly older version) so it would be great if I could use it. I've been searching for guides or tips on using PSP to create menus but haven't found anything. Any of you have any pointers?

Paint Shop Pro is a fine program. I have version 7 and it runs great and has a customizeable tool bar, which Photoshop doesn't have to boot!
Here is a link to a tutorial site:

I also asked jasc directly once and they responded quickly.
Hope this helps.
RogThere are many ways to measure success. You just have to find your own yardstick. -
That's the version I have.
Looks like there are some good tutorials at that site. Thanks a bunch.
