Animation Shop gives you the option to export video frames to Paint Shop Pro 7. But the trial download expired. So I deleted them both and bought Paint Shop Pro 8 which came with it's Animation Shop. But the bar that says 'Export To Paint Shop Pro' won't highlight, and it won't let me click it. What do I do now?

    Anyone else have this problem?

  2. It might have to do with the fact you deleted version instead of uninstalling it. PSP puts a lot of stuff into the registry, so version 8 may be getting wrong information when it looks at the registry.

(If you did uninstall it and not delete it, the rest of this post won't help - sorry.)

You could try to remove the entries manually via regedit but that's a huge pain and, given the amount of stuff PSP puts in there, you'll likely not get everything.

The best solution is to uninstall version 8, reinstall version 7, open PSP and Animation Shop once (in case some additional stuff happens when you first run them), then uninstall them via Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel. The idea is that this will put in all the right stuff for version 7 and remove it all. Most likely you will get a "trial has expired" message when you run them but it shouldn't matter.

    Then install version 8.

No promises but it's what I would do....
