Let me be the first to congratulate you !!!
I remember you telling me about the stupid hassles
of the English real estate system months ago and
even then you were waiting on the buyer to get
his loan approved.
In Australia it is a negotiated 30, 60 or 90 days on average.
The buyer puts up a bond (5 -10 %) and forfeits it if he
can't complete the deal. No time wasting. No mucking around.
Average time for loan approvals in Oz is 3 to 5 days; some
provide instant approvals.
Now all you have to worry about is cardboard boxes -
Thanks offline, the system here is long overdue a change, its rediculous ho people can piss you about without any kind of retribution. As for the cardboard boxes, we have been packed for weeks so thats not a problem

Good news Craig.
I'm planning to pump £30k into an extension in the next two years so hopefully my moving days are a long way off

Congrats pal, about time.
Only a week to go, does the new place need much work doing? -

Is the new place a step up in size for you Craig? Perhaps an "entertainment" room for movies and music?
Any pics yet? -

I'd love an entertainment room. i used to have my bedroom in a cellar, don't get walls much thicker than medieval foundations
The A6 ran right past the front door, but i didn't hear a whsiper down there. when there was silence between CD tracks i was annoyed at the loudness of the spindle motor and laser assembly. *cocks ear* nope, all i hear now is wind and people on the street -
