Synchronization problems with Womble MPEG-VCR

I bought this software months ago and it worked flawlessly. It's main purpose for me was trimming the beginning, ends, and commercials from captured video and burning the resulting files to DVD.

In July, even though I have made no hardware or software changes to my computer, the resulting files get more and more out of sync the further I get into the file. After about an hour, the audio is about a complete second behind the video. This is a very frustrating problem as I have to redo projects again and again for testing purposes.

Womble's support hasn't really helped me much except to suggest I purchase another product called MPEG Wizard 2003 from them, which I am reluctant to do as the first product doesn't seem to function properly.

Any suggestions of correcting this problem or different software would be greatly appreciated.
