I'm think about buying this dv camcorder and was wondering if anyone here had any opinions on it. I've read some of the reviews for it online and it seems like a good camera for the price but I was interested in hearing from some people who have actually used it in a setting other than a test environment. Or is there another camera in the $500-$600 range that would be better.

I own a elura 40. love it, small and smart, but low quality recording for low light. I've read that they improved that.
anyway, buy it, test it, if you like it, fine , if not, return it. for around 600 there is Panasonic, a 3 ccd camera, which is supposed to be a lot better. You might consider that one too.
test it,
