My Workplace Class Photo

I made this picture years ago for my department at work. We needed something to hang in the department office so people could connect faces with names.

This picture is years old - very out of date. Many in the picture have moved on or been promoted. But it illustrates the land of ubergeekdom I work in. There are probably 15 or 20 advanced degrees represented by these folks. Some are real characters. One looks like Santa Claus . My manager has since retired.

I checked with the computer security dept. and they said pics are fine as long as no names are linked with them. So you'll have to just guess which one is Capmaster

By the way, the nicest guys in the department, and probably the whole company, are "J" in the lower left corner, and "R" in the lower right corner. Both guys have been my office mates, and there are no finer people drawing breath than these two. They remind me a bit of Pac and Craig in that respect.

"J" has a sharp, refined sense of humor and puts me to shame when it comes to quick, witty comebacks. He's from Memphis. He and I used to spend a lot of time trying to outdo each other in getting the other to laugh the hardest.

"R" is the finest human being you'll meet, a parent of two girls, as solid and upstanding as they come, but a good sense of humor and willing to use the "f word" when appropriate, although that is rare for him. He's from South Carolina.

I'd trust either of these guys with my life - no questions asked. Too bad "J" doesn't work in my department anymore

Gotcha. Thought it was a fighter squadron pic but it must be a maintenance squadron I couldn't make out any patches with that res ..... so I assumed .....

You guys using screens on the line? At Plattsburgh, the response to "why don't we use screens" was answered with "Let the TAC pukes use them. SAC needs to get off the ground quickly".

After an airman's ear-muff type hearing protector got eaten while I was there, and that killed the compressor blades, I figured they'd probably give screens a try

For normal maintemance runs, yse. For launch and recovery, nope.
