    I have a 8gb class 2 card now I just order a 16gb class 6 card what is the differance when recording video between the 2 classes

    Don't confuse capacity with read/write speed

    Filesize = bitrate x running time

    So it depends on what bitrate your video is

  6. faster cards just write the pictures to the card quicker.

    a 16 GB card will hold twice as many pictures as an 8 GB card.

Most flash-based camcorders require class-6 media for it's superior integrity, class-2 is pretty far down there, i've 'recently' found some Class-4 32GB HC cardz for 'less than $80' on ebay, and they 'actually work', not so lucky for other class-6 i've purchased... but to to answer your question, and i assume you're talkin about an AVCHD camcorder here, cuz that's what flash is 'really good' for, and so in the AVCHD format it's about 6 hours in LP mode, 4 in SP, and like 110 min in XP, all for a 16GB chip, extrapolate from there...
