  1. I have a couple of mpeg 1 files that I was going to throw on dvd with tmpgenc dvd author, but wouldnt take them. The error said something about the gop being too long or something similar to that.

    Whats the best way to correct these mpegs? Do I have to actually run them through tmpgenc or similar?

    I believe MPEG-VCR might be able to help.

    With mpeg2vcr go to Tool - MPEG GOP fixer, select the VOB, click Scan, after scan (only seconds) will show Fix (1) GOP time code..., select Fix and exit mpeg2vcr. For each VOB.
    I know you have MPEG-1 files, but it should be the same process. I think you can select Fix GOP Size or something similar and it will make you save as MPEG.
