  1. when i convert from avi to mpeg2 using 2 pass the video is jumpy the frames dont move cleanly this occurs on all files even high quality files is there a setting i can use to fix this ,also besides tmpgenc are there any other high quality converters for avi to mpeg 2

  2. you say the video is jumpy is that on a stand alone player on on ur pc??? what are the mpeg2 files for svcd or dvd??

    Could be a field order problem. Also are you making sure you are converting to the correct mpeg format... i.e. if your avi is pal then convert to pal mpeg or if your avi is ntsc then convert to ntsc mpeg.

  4. its for dvd and its jumpy on dvd player and comp and pal and ntsc makes no difference tried both

    Use GSpot or AVICodec to find out the frame rate of your source. Better yet, post a screen capture of what either of those two programs says and post it here.
