    I have tried a fare number of lower priced authoring apps and at the moment I prefer Ulead VideoStudio 8. However, I have not yet found a lower priced app that does everything I want all of the time!

    You should take a look at the tools section of this site. Sort the list by member rating. That may point you in the right direction.

    For ease of use I recommenced TMPGEnc DVD Author. DVD Lab has more options but takes a little more to learn.
