When the triangles and the trapazoids are cut out, they are cut with straight lines, however when the large side of the triangles are placed at the end of the trapezoids, the line is not a straight line, it is actually a little under 180 degrees, creating a slight gap between the newly created larger triangles, the gap that is difficult to see has one unit of area.

Trig was one thing I was good at in maths lessons. It made good sense to me. The rest was gibberish!

I had to endure it all through secondary school and then all through university. I studied mechanical/electrical engineering and trig was a big part of the maths component of that.

I'm glad I don't have to use it now.
