Nero problem (no DVD)

Hi

I'm using the newest version og Nero burning rom. I've installed the program on my laptop and on my girlfriends laptop.

When I want to make a new compilation I can't see the box where I have to choose between DVD and CD. That only leaves me with the choice of different CD-rom types of burning since it's the default. When I open the same on my girlfriends laptop I ofcourse have the possibility to choose.

What could be wrong? Is it a software problem??

is it possible you only have a cd burner in your laptop ?

No, my laptop burner is also a DVD burner. I tend to use my USB2.0 burner instead though.

On my girlfriends laptop there is no burner, and there I can see the DVD Video/CD button.

switch to Nero Express.



Does your DVD burner show up in the dropdown box ?

I've just re-read your original post and you say that on your laptop, which has a DVD burner, you only have the choice of CD templates, but on your girlfriend's laptop, it doesn't have a cd burner at all yet you can choose between CD or DVD templates ?

Can you post a screen pic from both yours and your girlfriend's laptops to show the difference in choices ?

Here is first my own screenshot.. My girlfriends laptop is not here right now. As you can see (if it's not too small) the DVD VIDEO / CD-ROM button that should be on top of the scroll bar to the left is missing.

I have ofcourse allready tried Nero express, but it also only gives me the choice of CD-rom types.

I now know why I can't post the image. It's because I have to put on a public server. I don't have a server so you must trust me.

The button is missing. What could be wrong?
