Problem finalising DVD+R media with Nero - pls help

I have a new Sonty laptop which is high spec including a DL DVDRAM/+-RW/+-R burner. I have been burning dvds successfully for ages on my PC, and with DVD+RW on this new machine without problem. However I can't seem to complete a disc using +R media. There is an error that comes up at the end each time telling me there was problems 'finalising' the disc.
Can someone help me understand what is causing this and what to do about it?

Post the log from Nero (make sure you edit out your serial number first) and someone should be able to tell you what is going on. It could be a simple compatibility issue.

i once got an error like that (error while finalizing disc) but the disc plays perfectly in my standalone

It may not "help you understand what is causing this", but the log shows that when nero sent a "CLOSE TRACK/RZONE/SESSION/BORDER" command to the drive, there was an empty/incomplete RZONE which prompted the atapi error code of 057204, and the aborting of the burn process.

Since you haven't been having problems burning with +RW, the "what to do about it" is almost certainly to use different (better) media. The INFOME R30 media you used is listed at nomorecoasters.com as 3rd class media. This page should help you pick some better media.

If that doesn't solve the problem, post back to this thread, and we'll dig a little deeper.
