    Any1 tried to burn a movie on a dual layer disc with this drive and played it in a stand alone dvd player, does it work

    i have heard of some writer's that had problems with it's booktype setting for DL media

    I dont have a dual layer burner yet, but i guess it would depend on a number of factors:

    the media you use
    whether you use booktype dvd-rom
    the dvd player (some dvd players may play certain DL medias, some may not)

    For double layer media the booktype is set to dvd-rom as standard
    but not for single layer
    but i believe some people are working on this

    You sure about all DL media being set to DVD-ROM?
