  1. Okays guys, my first post/question ... i have WinDVD Creator 2 and whenever i save my videos to my hard drive (anywhere from 5GB - 7GB) i try to use DVD Shrink 3.2 to shrink it down to 4.7 GB and then use nero to burn it. The problem i keep having though is that every time i try to open the file with dvd shrink it says that it cannot find VOB 5 or VOB 6 file ... like if my file only has 4 VOB files it will says cannot find VOB 5 and when it has 5 VOB files it says it cannot find VOB 6. Is there something i am doing wrong or what? thanks for any help

    Hello,

You know you can just use dvdshrink from the beginning. Put the dvd in the dvdrom and start dvdshrink. Go to open disc and it will scan the disc. After a few seconds you'll be able to compress it right away (reauthor or full backup). Then if you have nero it will burn for you or just use your own dvd burning software to burn the video_ts folder as the main directory.

Good call yoda. My personal choice is to use DVDDecrypter in ISO mode, then open the ISO in DVDShrink.

Smartripper is another software that you could use if DVDShrink won't rip the files.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    OOOOOOOOOOOK.

That puts it in a bit of perspective

I have found that sometimes you need to run your authored files through smartripper before you can load into DVDShrink. I don't know why exactly, but this has worked for me in the past. The other thing you could try is use ifoedit to correct the IFO files for you.
    If in doubt, Google it.
