    virtual dub doesnt like vbr (variable bit rate mp3 audio that is usually associated with xvid) and i dont think it handles ac3 either

    nandub is very good at cutting and joining avis

    if your familiar with virtual dub then your lucky as the interface is almost identical

    remember to put the video to direct stream copy otherwise you will needlessly end up reencoding the video
