    Maybe I'm missing something, but how can you run a batch job for cutting commercials? Commercials, for the most part, are random and have to be edited manually.

    program like comskip gives the times of the commercials can create files that when used with editing programs to remove comercials uses various methods.

    http://devices.natetrue.com/cbreak/ will work on AVI files

    It is command line, but you did want a batch compatible app.

    Krispy Kritter,

    when you use Lathe you can mark-in and mark-out your video before encoding, you keep doing that on all your videos to be added to a job list or whatever. Once you have all your videos marked in and out, renamed, and with the settings that you chose, you hit OK and wait many hours and your done, doing it over night works. But you can only mark one segment at a time, not multiple marks like in other paid software out there, I only really need one segment at this time.
