Bin Cue Problems

Using Nero ultra and alcohol 120 im trying to burn to a DVD-R. Everytime i load the cue sheet and hit burn both nero and alcohol tell me it requires a CD-R/RW. Been searching for a problem similar to mine but i cant find anything.

because a bin/cue file is a cd image, something in cd format generally cannot be burned to DVD format. For example, if your bin/cue is an SVCD you cant put it on a DVD (unless your burning it as data, for example in UDF Format for archiving purposes, but if thats the case, it will not play on a stand alone DVD player).
