  1. Hello. Recently bought ADStech DVD Xpress Video Capturing Unit. Works pretty good, as far as i can tell. I am a newbee at this stuff, and not really all that knowledgeable about setting the bitrates and capture sizes, etc.

I do have a problem with one old video tape. When capturing, i get jerky video. I have all my drives defragged. I have Athlon XP 2 gig system. Like i said, this one tape is giving me trouble. All the other tapes i use work fine. Any suggestions? Anyone use this device and wanna give me any tips? It has bundled software included in the unit. Adstech Capture Wizard, Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2, and Ulead Videostudio 7. I don't have a super high-res monitor so i can only use 800x600. That leaves the Videostudio 7 out of the picture. I can use movie factory 2, though. Anyone know any tips with this software, to produce a capture that is not jerky? Does de-interlacing do a lot of good? How about temporal and spatial video filters? I tried capturing the tape at 4mb bitrate. I have USB 2.0 ports, and it can go all the way up to 15mb bitrate, but i read that anything super high will not work in my standalone dvd player.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

    Rick
