    am i totally out of luck ?

    it won't install the drivers from the disc or from an extracted file

    can't find any NEW win 7 driver for it

    DL the install pdf for the 709 , and followed those instructions, tried to get win 7 to accept the win 2000/xp driver

    BUT NO luck

    i have win 7 home 64bit. so no XP mode available

    the hardware is like new and has always worked great, but i haven't used since i got this new core i3 win7 laptop early in 2010

    The drivers mentioned there all that exists for your device. It looks like you are SOL if those don't work.
