ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon can you make a SVCD with it

I have read the hack for the ALL IN WONDERer card but i do not think they work on the Radeon model. Do you need a old AIW card to make SVCD the new one I do not think you can hack the registry files

There are different hacks to the registry - some for MMC 7.x (see the link in my sig) and some for MMC 6.3

to answer your specific question my hack tool works with my AIW Raedon proivded your using MMC 7.x

Let me make another statement.

for the best quality source you should go with the VirtualDub capture (you can capture with VirtualDub and AIW Raedon) and a "lossless" codec - you can then convert that to MPEG-2 with TMPGEnc

for ease of use and MPEG-1 captures stick with MMC

it depends on the desired final result

not all systems can handle MPEG-2 compression in real time and so your results can be less than expected plus you might drop a lot of frames

I know there is a SVCD AIW specific thread that you should read but I just dont have that link handy - just do a search for it - I think patrickm or AT wrote it - it's very helpful
