  1. I tried Nero Recode 2 to fit a 4.8Gb DVD movie in my hard drive into a DVD-R5. Problem is that when I play the encoded movie it only shows the movie and subtitles, but there's no main menu (scene selection, options, etc). Am I missing something, or Nero Recode 2 can't include menus in the encoded movie? Thanks.

    Hello,

I've never used nero for shrinking. I've used dvdshrink and it has the option of doing a full backup or just the movie (reauthor mode). You may have a similar feature with nero recode. Look for any option that says full disc mode or something similar. Hope this helps.

As Yoda pointed out, Nero has the same functionality as Shrink. It is up to you whether or not you keep the menus, or just the movie, although the default is to keep the entire movie.

Does the movie on your hard drive have a menu etc ?

  4. Yes it has a amenu, and I already solved the issue. Problem was I used the wrong option in Nero Recode. Instead of usig the "Remake a DVD" option I should've used the "Recode an entire DVD to DVD" option to also include the menus.
    Thanks.
