    I want to make a svcd useing my ati tv wonder.

    It can save files at higher bit rates such as 3.0mb and it saves them as mp2 files.

    Problem is I can't find anything to open these *.mp2 files. If I try to rename them it comes up as invalid format.

    Please advise.

    Try installing the MPEG2 Codec from this site:
