    Hi

I have a large number of video clips recorded on hard drive from this device

    http://www.fuho.com/PRODUCT/OTHER/videoserver/FUM-T10II-1.htm

I want to edit them, but can only open them with the software supplied with the device. They have the extension .AV
(no i do'nt mean .AVI). Have tried WMP, Realplayer, and VLC player but no joy.

Any ideas welcome (sample file attached)

I would suspect it is using a proprietary format and likely nothing will edit the files. Based on the specs, it is an "mpeg-4/m-jpeg video stream with 16/24/32/40 kbps ADPCM audio". So you may want to try an tool that can handle mp4, but don't hold your breath.

Did you ever find a solution; I'm in the same boat.
