Im in the process of converting a music video DVD to mpg. Im using DVDshrink to decrypt the vob files, VobEdit to demux the audio files (.ac3), then im deinterlacing (with the double) the video and converting the .vob and .ac3 files to .mpg. What i end up with is nice looking videos but the audio is draging alittle bit. On some song you can barely notice it, while others it is a second off. What could be causing this and how do i fix it?
PS this is only on one of the DVDs (out of 2) the other one works fine!

Also, on few of the videos I try and play in windows media player the video doesn't show up. When i use the seek bar or stop the video and play it again the video will show up. Theres nothing wrong with the audio. Whats wrong and how do i fix it?

Personally I would use DVDDecrypter or SmartRipper to decrypt the VOBs and demux the audio with file splitting by chapter. I would then frameserve the video to TMPGEnc using DVD2AVI.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Oops, wrong thread.

I did try the other decrypters but since my video is not encrypted i just use it do break it up into chapters. I dont want to mess with AVI.
Could it have something to do with the audio being .ac3. On my other videos it was wav so i just multipexed the same .vob file together and i got a perfect deinterlaced .mpg file, but it wont let me do that with .ac3. i have to demux it first and then do that. -

We are using smartripper or DVDDecrypter because they have the ability to split files by chapter. You don't actually create an AVI either, all you do is create a D2V file, which is a handle for TMPGenc Plus to deal with VOB files directly.
At least try the method I have suggested before you reject it.If in doubt, Google it.
