I have cleaned out my drive as much as possible ran antispyware, and antivirus, deleted cookies, and, temporary internet files. Switched media brands three times at still the same problem: CloneDVD says the back up was made. The disc looks like it was burned. But it won't read on my Apex player, or, on my Memorex burner. I'm now using Imation media, which I have had success with before, and, the media section of this site, most everyone has had as well no matter who Imation bought them from. Can anyone give me an idea what to try next?![]()

Get yourself a couple of Re-Writable DVDs that are compatible with your burner and DVD player. The faster the blanks are, the better. Experiment with those and U'll save in the end.
Also, try using different DVD ripper and burner programs. -

I had orginally had v1.1.6.1,
just downloaded and installed, today, v2.4.3.1. made a back up with this version. It played on both my confuser, and, my console, but after the opening to the menu, and, the menu itself, there was no sound. I selected 2 channel audio only, since I use just the speakers to my StereoTV, and, the two speakers that came with my computer. Could that be why I had no audio during the playback of the main features? Or, was the download of 2.4.2.1 corrupted. Obviously V1.1.6.1 had become corrupted, both on my computer and on the disc I installed it from. I used a trial copy of Icopydvds2 to see if it was my burner. It worked, though it copied only part of the DVD I wanted to back up.
