    When i try to backup a dvd to divx using dr divx 1.05 with divx pro 5.2 i can't set my own cropping values because the program has a bug. What is the best program to backup DVD to DivX, supporting divx pro version 5.2 codec?

    You could of course use Virtualdub... I'm sure theres a guide.....

    If you're not afraid of lots of options, I would suggest Gordian Knot. It's extremely powerful. If you want to make it simpler, try AutoGK.

    VirtualDub is also a good tool, but I use Gordian Knot in preferance which actually uses VirtualDubMod to do the encoding work and so just brings all the programs like BeSweet and DVD2AVI together in one front end for you.

    fairuse is a very good option, too. very easy to use with high quality outputs. recomended =)
