When encoding a .VOB file to DivX, the subtitles are light gray. When I encode the same movie from the Video-TS folder, the subtitles are white. White is much better to read, but I have to use the .VOB file because if I use the Video-TS folder, I get no sound (I have tried all the nine audio tracks available, but none of them gives a sound, but that's another question). Why do the subtitles have to be different?

I follow this any anyhting else anyone has told me. I still can't get subtitles to turn out.. They ALWAYS look like CRAP!
Is there ANY ways you can give us subtitle control like OpenShiiva does? I can't even use this app as I mainly rip anime so I can watch it on the road without needing to bring my dvd's.
Please help..

If loading an IFO file doesn't improve things, I should reproduce the issue on my computer in order to spot a possible solution. For that, could you please email me a download link to a small test chapter I could test. My email is major4@mac.com
