Spin-X 4x DVD-R or DVD+R media?

Has anyone ever used the Spin-X 4x DVD-R or DVD+R media that OfficeMax is selling? Are they the same as Imation? I read that the CD media is Imation.

They are selling 50 packs for $40, and I am curious if anyone knows the Media ID for these discs.

$40 for a 50 pack of something called Spin-X sounds like a shitty deal. Imation is a good company and I have had great success with their CMC CDR media but their DVDRs are so-so quality. Maxell 4x MIJ DVD-Rs were on sale for around that price not too long ago.

I have a pack of spin-x cd-r discs that I got at Kmart and I would caution you to be aware that theres a good chance of getting junk. About 1/5 discs have spots (they seem to be on both sides). I might have just gotten a bad batch but who knows? All I can say is I'll never buy them again. Oh and a cDVDinfo scan shows that the media is cmc.
