SVCD screen artifacts

I have been using DVD2SVCD (latest version) with DSRoba for some time with excellent results. I use DVD Decrypter (latest version) to rip the DVD to my HD. Myencoder is CCE 2.5.

With the last couple of conversions I am getting digital artifacts or glitches . I checked the VOB files on my hard drive and they are fine and have none of these artifacts. I played the .bin files created by DVD2SVCD with Power DVD using a virtual CD drive. Have not burnt to CD yet so the artifacts are clearly in the files.

In both cases the conversions yielded 2 CD's and the Q used was < 30.

Any ideas as to what has happened would be appreciated and suggested cures even more so.

Do you get the artifacts when played on a home dvd player?Powerdvd5 plays svcd with artifacts even if there is none,play the mpg files with mplayer2 to see if the artifacts show up there,if you still see the artifacts then raise the bitrate or quality settings,you might need an extra cd then.
