    i had a avi file with ac3 encoded audio .
    i demuxed it into a ac3 file with virtualdubmod and created a m2v
    file as well.
    i have done this with other movies and every thing went well.
    only this time when i tried to add the ac3 file to the project in TMPGenc it didn't take it and gave me an error msg like it wasn't an ac3 file at all!
    what can i do ???
    i tried to demux it again all ready but nothing changed.

    convert it to a wav with Headac3he.

    The AC3 file will probably need fixing. If when you add the AC3 audio it comes saying unsupported audio format, then it will need repairing first. Use BeSliced and drag the Ac3 file onto the BeSliced window and then choose fix file.

    This should sort it out. If not try AC3fix.
